Just recently, we were told that the baby was a bit underweight so Berns had to catch up on her eating (since she was still eating like she was on a diet), and the Doctor also had to treat some minor infection that she also saw as something that may have contributed to it seeing that the body is not giving enough nutrients to the baby to fight the infection.
Anyway, good news is we're back on track and the baby is healthy and well! Praise God! I'm really happy that all is well. It just took more doctor visits, checkups, and lab tests = more money out, but all needed and worth it to make sure that the baby is fine :)
We had to wait it out til Berns' body sorted out the weight gain along with the baby but it's all good now.
Monitor your wife's weight. She should be gaining 1 pound a week. This ensures that the baby's growth is just right inside as well... not too big, not too small. You won't want your baby to be too big which usually can lead to C section delivery. You also don't want them too small that it makes them weak when it comes to your wife pushing to get them out. Sometimes, baby's can't handle it and the heartbeats drop through delivery so it can also end up in a C section delivery. Give or take you lack or go over a pound, don't worry. Just make sure you get more control of it toward the 3rd tri-sem to catch up for the perfect weight for delivery come the 9th month :)
